Hi kiters.

I enjoy building my own kites, making best use of everyday components where I can, but I can't beat ripstop nylon for sails. I have bought supplies from kite festivals in the past, but I am soon going to run short. Can anyone suggest some UK suppliers? A few sites I have looked at don't seem as comprehensive about their products (e.g. good range of colours) as they could be.

Thanks for any ideas.

You might consider going to Kite Studio at Kitebuilder.com
I know several people in UK who buy their material there. His prices
are so competitive that the shipping, etc. is more, but still cheaper
than the material in the UK. Faster delivery times, as well. The
current exchange rate helps a lot, too.

take a look at these well known UK kite traders
http://www.kitesup.co.uk/
http://www.kiteworks.co.uk/
http://www.highwaymen.biz/acatalog/Ripstop_Nylon.html

there are a lot of traders on our club website
(and some dead links too, which I will prune out ASAP)

Kitebuilder.com sells ripstop at a good price. It is located in
America, but I have heard that even with the shipping costs included it
is still a better deal than getting it in England.

Or so I have heard from some people in UK.
