But you don't need it anyway.

Pull the lines with your fingers.

Then look back down the lines and compare how much they sag.

good news Tim - there is a type of line winder which can also be used
as an equalizer.

check out the first line winder on this web page - I do not think it
will be hard to find a supplier close to where you live.
Otherwise, I am sure Chalkie will be happy to send you one.

http://www.kiteworks.co.uk/Reels.shtml

If you peg down one end of your lines, and then at the other end hook
each of the loops over the 2 notches shown on the top side of the
winder (in that picture) then put your index finger through the large
central hole to pull on the lines, the winder will act in much the same
way as the "equalizer" and indicate if the 2lines are equal, or not.

If you are flying 4 lines, then just do 2 at a time.

I use a slight modification of that method. I bring both lines from the
peg through the large hole and then onto the lugs (your notches) in the
small holes. They tend to stay on more securely, which is useful if you
need to let the lines go slack for any reason (such as making an
adjustment to the length of one of them).

Best,
Stephen
