in the 1980's i made a rig to cary my canon T7, the T7 had a command back
were i can set the amount of shots to be taken, the interval time between
shots and a timer for the firts shot.
the rig was home made azimut locater, a electronic timer( via a potmeter)
was activating a smal motor. it could rotate 360°. via the potmeter i could
set the requierd rotation. the triger for this rotationstart came from the
flash-contact of th T7(after each shot it turned x° degree's)
my digital camera (sonny DSC-P10) has no flash-contact and the delay strat
is only 10 sec. so its not posible to raise the camera in that time.
Are there any lightwight digital cameras with a command back as the ?good

A lot of Canon compact cameras will work when aided with CHDK (CHDK is a
piece of software you put on a memory card and camera loads it when it's
turned on)

See:
http://chdk.wikia.com/wiki/CHDK

Also google for KAP (Kite Aerial Photography) and check KAP forum at:

http://steel.ced.berkeley.edu/cris/kap/discuss/

You'll see that there are a lot of people making photos from the air
using kites. Many also make their own rigs some for automatic picture
taking (as Yours) some remotely controlled.

When I heard about kite aerial photography, I wanted to get a rig that I
could use with a Canon Elph that I already had. I ended up buying an
auto-KAP rig at http://www.brooxes.com. The rig has two servos: one to
rotate the camera, and one to press the shutter button. Once turned on, it
will fire the shutter and then rotate the camera. It takes about 20 shots
for each complete rotation. If your camera has remote control capabilities,
then you can get a triggering mechanism that uses that interface. You can
see pictures of my rig and some of the shots I've taken with it here:
