I don't know how to fly kites.

I'm a printengineer and found out a way to print durable on
kitematerial.

After the digital print, directly on the material we use a fixating
proces. After that the print does not affect the physical behaviour
of the spinnaker textile and it will stay, unerasable, forever.
Did we do something special or is it not a problem to print on
spinnaker anymore?

Sort of.

The difficult thing is to do it *well*

Roy at Kites-Up- has got it down to a fine art. He's at
http://www.kitesup.co.uk/

His colours are spectacularly good. You need to look closely to tell
which side it is printed on.

But he has spent a huge amount of time and money getting to that
point...

Thanks Andrew for answering,

I looked at the site of kitesup.
He does it well, so do we.
It is a sublimation process with heat fixation.
Colours are vaporised and change a white molecul into a coloured one.
It's not printing with paint ON the material it's like tattoo.
And by that: Quality because the picture cannot be erased anymore.
I will try to contact Kitesup because i think we do something he
can't. We print DIRECT on the kitematerial. I think he transfer the
pictures from paper.
