Heaving, straining
Brutal, screaming
Joy and happiness.

There's a lot to be said for expressing your feelings in a verse or two, so
well done: those short lines make neat, sharp comments on those stages we
are familiar with. And your last line is just like I felt a few days ago
when I successfully flew yet another experimental kite. You just go home
happy.
