I've been spending a bit of time recently working on some designs for
kitesurfing and windsurfing themed tshirts etc. We've (my wife and I)
been involved in the sports for a long time, and have always been
disappointed with the stuff that's been available, so we decided to
make our own.

The designs are a mixed bag, but largely retro-style. For the moment
we are selling them via Cafepress. The site is http://www.poleys.net
(or http://www.poleys.co.uk) I am working on designs that are not just
picture of windsurfers, but more evocative.

Feel free to check them out. This is not a profit-making intiative, I
just happen to enjoy working on this sort of stuff in my spare time
and have a heap of material to work with from our travels. If you have
any questions or feedback about the designs or the quality of the
items, please feel free to let me know at the email address of this
post (be aware that the address is heavily spamfiltered so I may not
receive your email!)

Another thing was that we were keen to create a number of designs
aimed at women surfers (or the partners of male surfers) as this has
always been a bit of a gap.

The range continues to grow and change, so please come back and look
again later.

Cheers,
Dylan.

Nice shirts! Off topic, but I noticed the Prasonisi shirt and I'm
wondering if you're a regular windsurfer in Greece? We are going to
Naxos in late June and haven't decided which St. George's beach
station to rent with (we won't be staying with either of them) -
Flisvos or Naxos Surf Club. Both shops have excellent gear, so I'm
thinking more about the general vibe and quality of service with the
station and if one is closer to town than the other. I'm assuming
that the 2 stations are pretty close to each other but if either has a
launch advantage, I'd like to know that too (we are primarily
interested in the flat water launch, and may be sneaking out into the
waves from there).

I know that a lot of Germans travel there, but I don't speak or read
German so some of the links I've found online are useless to me.....

thanks!

Daphne,

No, not a Greek regular unfortunately. We are currently living in
Australia, but we visited Prasonisi (on Rhodes) a few years back, and
it was amazing. One side was Mediterranean bump and jump, then walk
50m over a sandbar, and you are in the Aegean Sea, with flat water and
all the speed freaks.

Definately worth visiting if you get a chance.

We never made it to Naxos.

Dylan.
