Is there anybody here besides me and Andrew Beattie? I posted a
message a couple of days ago about our 19th annual Strawberry Fields
Kite Festival in St. Thomas, Ontario, Canada. I didn't expect a
response from you, Andrew, but to hear from nobody else at all is
pretty discouraging. Is there anyone else here at all, or is this
newsgroup as dead as most of the rest of them that I look at?

I couldn't post here for a couple of years after my ISP stopped
running their news server. I recently found eternal-september.org in
Europe that allows me to post again. Before that, I had just found
several free newqs servers that allowed me to see newsgroups, but not
post to them. Is everybody else in the same position? I surely hope
not.

Sorry, I didn't reply as I'm in the UK so it would be a liitle too far for
me to go. :o)

I'm in the same position as you as in just found eternal-september so can
get back to usenet and found this group had gone somewhat quiet.

I still check in too Eric, and I did see your message.. It's just that
a trip to Ontario, Canada from Southern California is not in my travel
budget just now.. I hope the festival is a great success!

As far as access/posting here, I'm using Google Groups.. Maybe not as
slick as some usenet servers, but it works.. ;-)

I go thru google news groups. It works well with my gmail. There has
not been much interest in the last 5 yrears.
I am hoping with the Buggy Blast, not sure of the proper name for the
Event in Primm Nevada.I am sure if Dean is still on this group still.
He will correct me. I am planning to attend this years Event. I have
taken about 7 years off from this event because of my interest in
Kiteboarding. April is one of the best month for Kiteboarding in So.
Cal, but this year I am anxious to make it out there. So Dean J,, Jeff
H Steve B., John E. AND WHOEVER IS PUTTING ON THIS pLEASE SEND US THE
DETAILS. Andrew are you comimng this year?.

Lets Go Deano!!! Can't wait, Put in registration 4 Erin Too . She got
some lake bed time in the day. Kept it alive on our shores. the cops
