Dear Kite Group,

I am loking for hollow titanium, glassfiber or coalfiber rods for
building some lamps with.

-They have to be as thin as possible.

-If its possible to get some conic ones also.


I hope as an kite flyer by asking in this forum i can find some help in
this matter with links or contacts.

Titanium, I can't help you with but most kite supply folk do
glassfibre and carbonfibre.

Rods for very small diameters, tubes for larger sizes.

I don't know where you are, but large specialists include:

- Vlieger Op, Holland http://www.vliegerop.nl/

- http://www.kitebuilder.com/ in Pennsylvania

- Hang em High in Virginia http://ecom.citystar.com/hang-em-high/

Try this shop http://www.metropolis-drachen.de (mailorder) in Flensburg (
Germany). For the tapered spars go to: "Baumaterial" / "Gestänge" /
"Skyshark". They have (had?) a shop in Lakolk (Rømø) - i'm not sure if
it still is in business.

these are a coupld of them out there....
i would also call up didakites & level one kties & hq kites &
kitespitfire & and other kite manufacturers to see who they use for
rods.......

-They have to be as thin as possible.

-If its possible to get some conic ones it will also be an option.

-I will need about 1000 pcs. a month.

When i wrote conic tube i ment Tapered Tube

-lenght 600 mm.
-thin end 3 mm.+/-
-thick end 5 mm. +/-
