Thank you for your post of swallow kite train.

I would like to know detail construction of the flying line which may use
snap ring for the connection of each swallow kite.

The contruction of the flying line of my kite are shown in

The swallow kites belong to a friend of mine.

I examined the flying line and the method is exactly the same as
yours. He uses nylon fishing line for the short lines to the
individual kites. The idea is that it is less visible.

I like your flapping crows very much!

Thank you for the plans.

The total length of the main spar is actually twice as long as what is
stated on the plans.

This is the first kite I have tried to make, and it actually flew. The
wings do flap and when it is high in the air, it looks very good. I was
amazed because as I was making the kite, I thought there was no way it was
going to fly. The shape incorrectly made me feel that it would need an
added tail.

Found some cheap .4 mil black bags at Walmart and for bamboo, I bought a 4'
wide bamboo shade at World Market for $26. The slats were 1cm wide, so I
had to split them in half.

Instead of double sided tape and cellophane tape, I used clear packing tape.

I have plenty of slats left, so I will try to build a few more crows and
make them into a train.
