A concept for the world's biggest, longest, widest kite?

Abstract
I set out to make a simple traction kite. I came up with a ribbon
anchored/held at two distant points. It has ultimate low weight
only the weight of the single skin material. It can not be used as
the traction kites we know today. But it can be used for sailing
straight up wind or down wind, the latter faster than the wind.
It may also be fun as a toy or indoor kite. It can have more
anchoring points than the two. Extreme span and aspect ratio
is possible. A concept for the world's biggest, longest, widest kite?
When using several anchoring points instead of one you enter a new field
of kite design.

Looks like a windbow to me. I first saw George Peters playing with them
back in the early 1990's...

And George's did have battens. We made one at Fort Worden one year.

Very interesting, usefull links on the website, I am sure that the camber
that you use makes it a new concept compared with the windbow, either way
fantastic that you came up with that on your own.

I use 12 anchor points (erm... long story), and have played with this
sort of design, too, (smaller ones :-) but if you made this into the
"world's biggest, longest, widest kite" it would have enough pull to
lift the Titanic off the bottom of the ocean. My point is, who's going
to fly it (and how)?
